By placing an order with T. Marie Bakes, you acknowledge and agree to the following policies:
Payment & Deposits
- All orders under $200 require full payment to secure your date.
- For orders over $200, a 50% non-refundable retainer is required.
- Your order is not confirmed until payment is received and a confirmation email is sent.
Final Payments
- Full payment is due 7 days prior to your scheduled pickup or delivery.
- Verbal reminders are a courtesy only—you are responsible for tracking your due date and final balance.
- If your final payment is not received on time, your order is subject to cancellation without refund of your retainer.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
- All retainers are non-refundable, whether you pay a deposit or pay in full. This secures your date and covers time spent in consultation and planning.
- Cancellations made 14+ days before your event will receive a partial refund, with 30% of the total order retained as a service and consultation fee.
- Cancellations made 10–13 days prior will receive 25% of the deposit only, or may be rescheduled once (if availability allows) at no extra charge.
- Cancellations made less than 10 days prior are non-refundable, but may be rescheduled one time if canceled at least 72 hours in advance.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of your event are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- If I need to cancel for any reason that is not your fault, you will receive a full refund, regardless of timing.
***Design & Color Disclaimer
Photos provided or found online are used strictly as inspiration. While I strive to match the design as closely as possible, each cake is handmade and may vary slightly in color, detail, or overall appearance. Exact replicas are not guaranteed.
***White Buttercream Disclaimer
Buttercream is made primarily with real butter, which naturally has a yellow tint. Achieving a true white shade requires added colorants and can be affected by factors like weather, temperature, and humidity. Unlike store-bought frostings, which often contain chemical whiteners and preservatives, my buttercream is made from fresh, natural ingredients. As a result, the shade of white may vary from one order to the next.
Pickup, Delivery & Liability
- It is strongly recommended that all cakes 2-tiers or larger be delivered (delivery fees apply).
- If you insist on picking up your cake, I am not liable for any damages that may occur after pickup. A waiver must be signed confirming you accept full responsibility once the cake is in your possession.
Delivery Areas Include (but are not limited to):
Hudson County and surrounding areas, down to Union County and surrounding areas.
- Orders over $150 and multi-tiered cakes may be delivered outside of this area for an additional fee.
If there’s an issue with your order:
If your cake is damaged upon delivery, or there’s an issue with flavor or décor, you must provide photos of the damages or proof of correspondence showing the error was on my part.
If there’s a problem with fillings, flavor, or consistency, the entire cake must be returned for inspection before any refund can be determined. Partial returns will not be considered for refunds.
